LISA’S TESTIMONY

My name is Lisa.  I am a 40 years old and the mother of three beautiful girls.  I grew up in a Christian home and was saved when I was 12 years old.  Looking back now, I had a void...something missing in my life.  I got married when I was 18 years old to my 1st husband.  We had two girls and was married almost 16 years.  When we divorced, I went through a lot of years that I was involved in church.  I quite going to church and started trying to fill that void with a lot of things; men, and alcohol.  I went down so fast.  I married my 2nd husband and we had a daughter.  The relationship with my second husband was not a good one.  There was abuse and I turned more to the alcohol to help me get though it.  I woke up one day and I had lost everything.   Relationships with my family was horrible.  I was getting into trouble with the law.  That is when I came running to the Genesis Center.  

 

I thank God everyday for this place.  I fell in love with God at the Genesis Center and found the relationship that I had been missing.  I don’t have to worry or be afraid anymore.
