My Story

I am a 26 year old mother of two beautiful children who was forced to leave an abusive relationship for the sake of my children. I was surprised to find that I was not alone in being the victim of an abusive spouse. I have learned that over 25% of women suffer abuse from their spouse each year in Texas.

 

I was a resident of the Genesis Crisis Center in Kaufman, Texas which is a Christian based shelter serving East Texas and Dallas County for battered and abused women and children.
